QuickDial Privacy Policy

QuickDial is an on-device launcher popup that helps users quickly open apps and, optionally, search contacts. This Privacy Policy explains what QuickDial accesses, how that information is used, and what choices users have.

1. Information QuickDial Accesses

QuickDial may access the following information or system features:

• App usage information to rank frequently used apps
• Display over other apps permission to show the floating popup
• Contacts, if the user enables contact search

2. How QuickDial Uses This Information

QuickDial uses accessed information only to provide its core features, such as:

• Showing the popup over the launcher
• Ranking commonly used apps in search results
• Searching contacts by name or number
• Opening the phone dialer screen when the user chooses a calling action

QuickDial is designed to process supported information locally on the device for app functionality.

3. Permissions Used by the App

• Display over other apps: used to show the QuickDial popup above the launcher
• Usage access: used to rank frequently used apps on the device
• Contacts: optional, used only for contact search by name or number

QuickDial does not request direct calling permission. When a user chooses a call action, QuickDial opens the device’s dialer screen instead of placing the call directly.

4. Data Collection and Sharing

QuickDial does not require account creation and does not intentionally upload contacts or usage-access data to the developer. QuickDial does not sell personal data.

If future versions of QuickDial add analytics, cloud sync, backups, crash reporting, or any server-based features, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those changes are released.

5. Security

QuickDial relies on Android app sandboxing, platform security protections, and on-device processing to help protect the information it uses. The app is designed to minimize access and use only the permissions required for its features.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

QuickDial stores limited local app data, such as cached index or ranking information, on the device to improve app performance. This locally stored data remains on the device until it is refreshed, cleared by the app, or removed when the app is uninstalled.

Because QuickDial is designed for local on-device processing, it does not maintain a cloud account or remote user profile for this data.

7. User Choice and Control

Users can:

• Choose whether to grant optional Contacts permission
• Revoke granted permissions later through Android Settings
• Continue using core QuickDial features even without optional Contacts access

8. Children’s Privacy

QuickDial is not specifically directed to children. It is intended as a general Android utility app.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if QuickDial’s features or data practices change. Any material updates should be reflected in the app and in the store listing before release.
